Privacy Policy
Who we are
Madic (madic.ai) is a Slack-native AI teammate for small businesses, operated by Michael Anthony Studios (“Madic,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what data Madic handles when you add it to your Slack workspace and connect it to your tools, and the choices you have. Questions or requests can be sent to mike@michaelanthonyphotography.com.
Information we handle
- Slack messages. Madic processes messages in the Slack channels and conversations it is invited to see, in order to understand requests and generate responses. Your messages are not used to train AI models.
- Connected-app data and OAuth tokens. When you connect a third-party app (for example your email, CRM, or social accounts), Madic uses OAuth tokens to act on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted (using Supabase Vault) or held by our connector providers (Pipedream or Composio). Data from connected apps is accessed only to carry out the tasks you ask for.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Madic never stores your card numbers.
- Usage metering. We record usage (such as credits consumed) to operate billing and show you your balance.
How we use information
We use the data described above solely to provide and operate the service: generating responses in Slack, performing the actions you request and approve in your connected apps, metering usage, billing, and support. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Google user data
Madic’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained via Google APIs is:
- used only to provide user-facing features of Madic that you request;
- never sold;
- never used for advertising purposes;
- not used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Subprocessors
Madic relies on the following service providers to operate:
- Anthropic — large-language-model processing of requests and context.
- Slack — the messaging platform Madic operates in.
- Supabase — database and storage, including encrypted token storage (Supabase Vault).
- Vercel — website and dashboard hosting.
- Render — application compute.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Pipedream and Composio — integration connectors; they hold OAuth tokens for apps you connect through them.
Data retention
Connection tokens are kept until you disconnect the integration. Conversation context is processed transiently to generate responses and is not retained beyond operational logs.
Your choices and data deletion
- Disconnect any integration at any time. Tokens are revoked on the provider side when you disconnect.
- Request account or data deletion by emailing mike@michaelanthonyphotography.com. We will delete your account data and confirm when it is done.
Children
Madic is a business tool and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at madic.ai/privacy.
